Know When To Hold'em

One of the benefits of not having a day job is spontaneity of movements. On a whim, I decided to revisit a small town in the Gold Country in Northern California where I discovered an unusually high concentration of high quality vintage shops. Knowing  this will probably be the last time I'll be able to visit the area without straining my driving muscles,  decision was easy, quick and it was a good one. I walked away with a trunk full of treasures some of which you will see later on as I put them to a very good use.

Apparently in the olden days a lot of drinking establishments had these drain contraptions running along the bar...No need to go outside to spit if you chewed tobacco while drinking, I guess.

Any casino is a good home for the night.

More music is better

If you are a regular reader of this wonderful blog you probably know that music is an important part of our Euro-Californian lives. Gosh, we even acquired a singing bird recently. Purely by chance, but  why not?  During those afternoon hours when digital sound just don't cut it, little singers are quite entertaining.  Bird's name is Karl (he is still getting used to that) and he is handsome, chirpy, likes disco and never misses a beat. His presence at Euro California hasn't been cemented yet but we like him a lot and so Karl might become a permanent fixture.  For now he's been chilling in his temporary home, displaying nothing but good behavior and good taste in everything.

Plastic Life

In the last few weeks I've been busy. Busy looking for new grounds to stomp. Thousands of miles, numerous nights in hotels, motels, few Indian casinos and seedy strip clubs, and I think I found it.
I've traveled up the coast from San Francisco to Vancouver and back, then down the coast to LA and back again.  All I can say is what a beautiful part of the world this is!  I liked it all but LA, you baby had me at hello and I'm calling you my new home.

I never kept track of where I went until the blog happened. So many places, so many faces, so many pairs of shoes... Ah, they are all my exclusive memories now.
Who knows how long this adventure will go on but for now you're seeing the world through my eyes. I will spare you from unnecessary excursions into rehashed topics. No DIY's, no make up applications tips, no nonsense. This blog is about genuine explorations of style.
